ABOUT OUR EVANGELIST:

 
Ken Chumbley became the Evangelist with the Belvedere Church of Christ at the beginning of the year 2000. Ken has been preaching for over thirty years. He is a native of England but began his preaching career in Australia in 1966. He lived there for nearly five years before returning to England in 1968. 

In 1969, he made his first trip to the United States where he met his wife, Orlinda (Linda), while visiting in Texas. Linda went to England in the summer of 1970 and they were married in Aylesbury on June 20 1970. They have three children. 

Stephen born 1972, Thomas born 1975, and Ellen born 1983. Ken and Linda have five grandchildren. Stephen and his wife, Angela, have three children, Keah and Kyle and Kendall. Thomas and his wife, Yulia, have two children, Gabrielle and Thomas Andrew. Ellen is married to Kyle Moses.

Ken has preached in several states as well as having done mission work in England (1968-1972 and 1985-1992) and Canada (1974-1977). He and his family moved to South Carolina from Frankfort, Kentucky. He has preached in Gospel Meetings in various places as well as on Lectureship Programs. While working in West Virginia he taught at the West Virginia School of Preaching. In addition to his preaching and teaching he has written articles for various publications and from 1986 through 1995 he edited the Old Paths magazine which was basically distributed in Great Britain. He makes mission trips each year to England since returning to the states in 1992.
